Īśvara (Śiva)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra (local shrine under the old tree)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Under an old tree in Prabhāsa, a broken/displaced goddess-image rests on the ground; devotees approach with water pots (gaṇḍukā), gently sprinkling and bathing the image with reverent focus.
Devotion redeems neglect: even a broken or abandoned sacred form becomes worthy through reverent care and worship.
The teaching is situated in Prabhāsa-kṣetra’s māhātmya, emphasizing sanctity in its ritual landscape.
Sprinkling/bathing the goddess’s form with water carried in filled vessels, even when the shrine is humble (beneath an old tree).
