asminmanvantare kṣiptaḥ sāgaraiśca caturdiśam | tasyedaṃ kīrtitaṃ devi nāma sāgarasaṃjñitam
اے دیوی! اس منونتر میں وہ چاروں سمتوں میں سمندروں کے ذریعے پھیلا دیا گیا؛ اسی لیے یہ مقام ‘ساگر’ کے نام سے مشہور ہے۔
