vyāsa uvāca | ityuktvoparate sūte śaunakādi maharṣayaḥ | saṃpūjya vidhivatsūtaṃ praśasyāthābhyanandayan
Vyāsa
Tirtha: Naimiṣāraṇya (frame-kṣetra)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Audience of the frame (implicitly the reader; within frame, the sages witnessing Sūta’s conclusion)
Scene: A forest hermitage assembly at Naimiṣāraṇya: Śaunaka and sages rise, offer garlands and arghya to Sūta, praising him; Vyāsa is invoked as the ultimate authority (‘Vyāsa said’), indicating layered narration.
Scripture is preserved through reverent listening and honoring the reciter; gratitude is part of dharma.
No specific tīrtha is named; the verse describes the conclave setting and the close of the narration.
Vidhivat-pūjā (duly honoring) the Sūta/paurāṇika after the discourse.
