saṃpūrṇaikādaśī bhūtvā dvādaśyāṃ varddhate yadi | unmīlinīti vikhyātā tithīnāmuttamā tithiḥ
Narrator (contextual; speaker not explicit in this verse)
Tirtha: Unmīlinī (tithi-yoga)
Type: ghat
Listener: Muni addressed implicitly in the sequence
Scene: A pañcāṅga-bearing priest indicates the Ekādaśī line flowing into Dvādaśī; above, the moon’s phases form a halo labeled ‘Unmīlinī’ as the ‘best of tithis’.
Sacred time (tithi) is itself a field of dharma; observing special tithi junctions heightens the merit of devotional practice.
This verse focuses on tithi-classification; the broader passage belongs to Dvārakā Māhātmya, which glorifies Dvārakā and its tīrthas.
It identifies the Unmīlinī condition—Ekādaśī extending into Dvādaśī—used to time fasting and night-vigil observances.
