śivarātrau vasedyastu liṃge siddheśasaṃjñite | snātvā ṛṣikṛte tīrthe kiṃ tasyānyena vai dvijāḥ | gatvā tatra mahābhāgā gṛhītvā phalamuttamam
Brahmā (continuation; exhortation to pilgrimage and Śivarātri observance)
Tirtha: Ṛṣitīrtha (paired with Siddheśa-liṅga)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Dvijāḥ / brāhmaṇas (addressed)
Scene: Night at a Śiva shrine: devotees holding lamps, keeping vigil before the Siddheśa liṅga; then dawn procession to the rishi-made tīrtha for bathing; the scene culminates in a radiant ‘supreme fruit’ aura around the pilgrim group.
When devotion, sacred place, and sacred time unite (Śivarātri at Siddheśvara with tīrtha-snana), the spiritual fruit is considered complete and unsurpassed.
Siddheśvara (Siddheśa) liṅga and the adjoining Ṛṣitīrtha in the Dvārakā region.
Observing Śivarātri by staying/vigil near Siddheśvara-liṅga and performing snāna at the ṛṣi-made tīrtha.
