Pulastya (to a king, addressed as rājan)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Nṛpaśreṣṭha (the best of kings; traditionally Bhīṣma/kingly interlocutor in many tīrtha dialogues, here addressed as king)
Scene: A sage concludes a sacred narration, gesturing toward a shining tīrtha; pilgrims descend steps to bathe, carrying waterpots and offerings, while a subtle divine presence sanctifies the waters.
Pilgrimage is completed through disciplined practice—especially snāna—uniting faith, effort, and sacred geography for both worldly and transcendent good.
The nirjhara-associated tīrtha of Arbuda-khaṇḍa whose origin was explained in the preceding verses.
Perform snāna (ritual bathing) at that tīrtha with full earnestness.
