Narrator/Redactor (colophon)
Tirtha: Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Śaunaka and other ṛṣis (outer frame), with Nārada as inner listener
Scene: Colophon-like closure: sages in an āśrama setting conclude a sacred narration about Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra, Śeṣaśāyī episode, Paijavana story, and the glory of the aśvattha during Cāturmāsya.
It formally seals the teaching by locating the Aśvattha’s praise within Cāturmāsya dharma and the sacred geography of Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra.
Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra (as the overarching sacred region), with the Aśvattha-mahima as a key devotional focus.
No direct ritual is prescribed; the colophon provides canonical placement and authority for the preceding Cāturmāsya/Aśvattha practices.
