Brahmā
Tirtha: Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Nārada
Scene: Brahmā instructs Nārada on Cāturmāsya: a devotee sets aside a beloved food/pleasure, making a vow before Viṣṇu; the world’s pull is shown as tempting objects fading behind the vow-taker.
Spiritual progress in Cāturmāsya is strengthened by voluntarily giving up one’s favorite comforts as an offering of self-control.
The immediate focus is the Cāturmāsya vow; the broader frame remains Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra māhātmya in Nāgara Khaṇḍa.
Tyāga-niyama: renounce a personally cherished indulgence specifically during the Cāturmāsya period.
