न च त्याज्यं समुच्छिष्टं तेन भुंजामहे ततः । तदत्र कारणेनैव गुरुणा भाव्यमेव हि । येन त्वं यच्छसि प्राय एतत्सिद्धिर्भवेत्स्थिता
na ca tyājyaṃ samucchiṣṭaṃ tena bhuṃjāmahe tataḥ | tadatra kāraṇenaiva guruṇā bhāvyameva hi | yena tvaṃ yacchasi prāya etatsiddhirbhavetsthitā
اسے ‘اُچھِشٹ’ (بچا ہوا) سمجھ کر ترک نہیں کرنا چاہیے؛ اسی لیے ہم اسے پرساد کی طرح تناول کرتے ہیں۔ مگر یہاں یقیناً کوئی گہرا سبب ہے—جس کے باعث تم عادتاً یہ نذر پیش کرتے ہو—تاکہ یہ مقصود رسم اپنی تکمیل کو پہنچ کر قائم ہو جائے۔
