सांबोऽपि प्रलपन्नार्तो निद्रां लेभे न वै द्विजाः । रात्रिशेषमभूत्तस्य तदा वर्षशतोपमम्
sāṃbo'pi pralapannārto nidrāṃ lebhe na vai dvijāḥ | rātriśeṣamabhūttasya tadā varṣaśatopamam
اے دوبار جنم لینے والو! سامبا بھی رنج و الم میں نالہ کرتا رہا، اسے نیند نہ آئی؛ اور اس رات کا باقی حصہ اسے گویا سو برس کے برابر محسوس ہوا۔
