A tāpasa (first half, exhortation); narrative voice (second half, describing Yājñavalkya’s action)
Type: kshetra
Scene: The messenger urges immediate attention; Yājñavalkya, startled and determined, breaks into a run through the forested hermitage paths, robes and matted hair in motion.
Dharma includes prompt action—delay in protecting or restoring a righteous person is itself a moral failure.
No site is named; the verse advances the story within the Tīrthamāhātmya setting.
None; it is an instruction to render immediate assistance.
