ततः कालेन महता वल्मीकेन समावृतः । समंताद्ब्राह्मणश्रेष्ठा ध्यानस्थस्य महात्मनः

tataḥ kālena mahatā valmīkena samāvṛtaḥ | samaṃtādbrāhmaṇaśreṣṭhā dhyānasthasya mahātmanaḥ

پھر بہت طویل زمانہ گزرنے پر، اے برہمنوں میں برتر، وہ مہاتما دھیان میں محو ہی رہا اور چاروں طرف سے دیمک کے ٹیلے (ولمیک) نے اسے ڈھانپ لیا۔
