मासं मासं प्रति सदा शांता दांता जितेंद्रियाः । ततो मासा वसानेऽन्ये चक्रुस्तच्छांतिकं द्विजाः
māsaṃ māsaṃ prati sadā śāṃtā dāṃtā jiteṃdriyāḥ | tato māsā vasāne'nye cakrustacchāṃtikaṃ dvijāḥ
مہینے در مہینہ، ہمیشہ پُرسکون، ضبطِ نفس والے اور حواس پر قابو رکھنے والے، وہ برہمن وہی شانتی کرم انجام دیتے رہے؛ پھر ماہ کے اختتام پر دوسرے دِوِج بھی وہی شانتی بجا لائے۔
