Tīrtharāja (Mahīsāgara-saṅgama personified)
Tirtha: Mahīsāgara-saṅgama
Type: sangam
Scene: The confluence-deity addresses Brahmā directly, requesting immediate argha; Brahmā’s four faces turn toward the speaker while sages watch.
The purāṇic worldview treats certain tīrthas as uniquely potent, worthy of immediate reverence and ritual honor.
Mahīsāgara-saṅgama, called Tīrtharāja and presented as incomparable.
Offering argha (a formal honor-offering) to the tīrtha is explicitly requested.
