ततो यज्ञोपवीतं दद्यात् अनेन मंत्रेण । सूत्रतंतुमयं शुद्धं पवित्रमिदमुत्तमम् । यज्ञोपवीतं देवेश प्रगृहाण नमोऽस्तु ते
tato yajñopavītaṃ dadyāt anena maṃtreṇa | sūtrataṃtumayaṃ śuddhaṃ pavitramidamuttamam | yajñopavītaṃ deveśa pragṛhāṇa namo'stu te
پھر اس منتر کے ساتھ یجنوپویت (جنیو) پیش کرے: ‘خالص دھاگوں کے ریشوں سے بنا یہ پاکیزہ اور نہایت مقدس یجنوپویت ہے۔ اے دیوتاؤں کے ایشور، اسے قبول فرمائیے؛ آپ کو نمسکار۔’
