eko vedaścatuṣpādaiḥ kriyate dvijahetave | itihāsapurāṇāni bhidyaṃte lokagauravāt

Translation

دویجوں (دو بار جنم لینے والوں) کی خاطر ایک ہی وید کو چار پادوں میں بنایا جاتا ہے۔ اور دنیا کی عزّت و رہنمائی کے لیے اتیہاس اور پران بھی جدا جدا صورتوں میں تقسیم کیے جاتے ہیں۔
