नरो हि गृहिणीहीनो अर्धदेह इति स्मृतः । यथात्मना विना देहे कार्यं किंचिन्न सिध्यति
naro hi gṛhiṇīhīno ardhadeha iti smṛtaḥ | yathātmanā vinā dehe kāryaṃ kiṃcinna sidhyati
بے شک جس مرد کی گِرہِنی (زوجہ) نہ ہو، وہ سمرتی کے مطابق ‘آدھا بدن’ سمجھا جاتا ہے۔ جیسے آتما کے بغیر بدن میں کوئی کام سرے سے پورا نہیں ہوتا، ویسے ہی اس ادھورے پن میں زندگی کے دھرم و فرائض تکمیل نہیں پاتے۔
