स्कंदप्रसादजः पुत्रो लोहिताक्षो भयंकरः । एष वीराष्टकः प्रोक्तः स्कंदमातृगणोऽद्भुतः
skaṃdaprasādajaḥ putro lohitākṣo bhayaṃkaraḥ | eṣa vīrāṣṭakaḥ proktaḥ skaṃdamātṛgaṇo'dbhutaḥ
سکند کی عنایت سے ایک بیٹا پیدا ہوا—لوہتاکش، نہایت ہیبت ناک صورت والا۔ یہی ‘آٹھ ویروں کا گروہ’ کہلایا ہے، سکند کی ماؤں کا عجیب و غریب لشکر۔
