Śiva
Tirtha: Dakṣiṇa-maṇḍapa (Kāśī)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Acyuta (Viṣṇu)
Scene: A southern-facing pavilion with a devotee standing motionless, eyes half-closed; time is symbolized by a tiny blinking eye motif (nimēṣa). A faint womb/saṃsāra wheel dissolves behind them, indicating cessation of rebirth.
Even brief, concentrated presence in Kāśī’s sanctified zone is said to sever the cycle of rebirth.
The Dakṣiṇa-maṇḍapa (Southern Pavilion) associated with Śiva in Kāśī.
A meditative prescription: stand/abide with steady mind and single-pointed devotion, even momentarily, in the pavilion.
