सृष्टिप्रलय संज्ञौ द्वौ ग्लहौ जयपराजयौ । देवीजये भवेत्सृष्टिरसृष्टिर्धूर्जटेर्जये
sṛṣṭipralaya saṃjñau dvau glahau jayaparājayau | devījaye bhavetsṛṣṭirasṛṣṭirdhūrjaṭerjaye
کھیل کے دو داؤ ‘سِرشٹی’ اور ‘پرلَے’ کہلاتے ہیں—یہی جیت اور ہار ہیں۔ جب دیوی جیتتی ہے تو سِرشٹی پیدا ہوتی ہے؛ جب دھورجٹی (شیو) جیتتا ہے تو اَسِرشٹی، یعنی واپسی و لَے واقع ہوتا ہے۔
