yo vai piśaṃgilā tīrthe snātvā māmarcayiṣyati | bhaviṣyati sa me mittraṃ mitratejaḥ samaprabham
Skanda (deduced: Kāśīkhaṇḍa commonly Skanda speaking to Agastya)
Tirtha: Piśaṃgilā
Type: ghat
Listener: Agastya
Scene: A devotee, freshly bathed, offers worship at the ford—perhaps to a liṅga or a subtle luminous presence—while the deity’s grace is shown as friendly radiance enveloping the worshipper.
Pilgrimage becomes complete through devotion: snāna joined with arcana transforms the devotee’s relationship with the divine.
Piśaṃgilā Tīrtha.
Snāna at the tīrtha followed by arcana (worship) of the speaking deity (Skanda).
