Skanda (deduced: Kāśīkhaṇḍa narration typically Skanda to Agastya)
Tirtha: Dharmatīrtha
Type: ghat
Listener: Agastya (Kumbhaja)
Scene: At Dharmatīrtha, devoted sons perform pitṛ-kārya with water-offerings and śrāddha, while subtle ancestral figures appear gratified; the tīrtha is serene and dharmic.
Filial piety expressed as Pitṛ-bhakti becomes dharma, and sacred acts at a tirtha can relieve one of ancestral obligations.
Dharmatīrtha in Kāśī (Varanasi), praised as a place where ancestral debt can be expiated.
Niṣkṛti (expiatory rites) connected with Pitṛs—implying śrāddha/dāna and related observances at Dharmatīrtha.
