tadānaṃtyāya jāyaṃta mune lokadvayepi hi | viśālākṣī mahāpīṭhe dattaṃ japtaṃ hutaṃ stutam
Skanda (deduced, Kāśīkhaṇḍa context: Skanda to Agastya)
Tirtha: Viśālākṣī Mahāpīṭha
Type: kshetra
Listener: muni (sage)
Scene: At the great seat of Viśālākṣī: a devotee performs japa with rosary, a small homa fire burns with offerings, another offers gifts, and a group sings stuti—fourfold devotion converging; the Devī’s aura extends to ‘both worlds’.
Acts of devotion performed at a charged sacred locus (pīṭha) yield ‘akṣaya’ (inexhaustible) merit across this life and the next.
Viśālākṣī Mahāpīṭha in Kāśī—treated as a uniquely merit-amplifying sacred seat.
Dāna (giving), japa (recitation), homa (fire-offering), and stuti (hymnic praise) performed at Viśālākṣī’s pīṭha.
