Skanda
Tirtha: Prayāga (Tapas-tīrtha regimen with Mādhava–Prayāgeśa)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Pilgrims/householders seeking both welfare and liberation
Scene: A narrative sequence: devotees worship at Prayāga, then shown with abundant grain, children, and prosperity; finally, a serene ascent into luminous ‘paramānanda’ symbolizing mokṣa—light beyond the river horizon.
Puranic tīrtha-dharma promises both worldly well-being and ultimate liberation when pursued with devotion and right practice.
The verse concludes the merit of the Prayāga-centered observance described in the surrounding verses.
No new prescription is added; it states the results (phala) of the prior bathing and worship regimen.
