करोति शास्तृनिर्देशं न च तं परिलंघयेत् । तथा प्राणो हदिस्थोयं योगिनाक्रमयोगतः । गृहीतः सेव्यमानस्तु विश्रंभमुपगच्छति

karoti śāstṛnirdeśaṃ na ca taṃ parilaṃghayet | tathā prāṇo hadisthoyaṃ yoginākramayogataḥ | gṛhītaḥ sevyamānastu viśraṃbhamupagacchati

جیسے شاستر کے آچارْیَہ (گرو) کے حکم کی پیروی کی جاتی ہے اور اس کی خلاف ورزی نہیں کی جاتی، ویسے ہی یہ پران، جو ہردے میں ٹھہرا ہے، یوگی کے لیے کرم بہ کرم یوگ-انضباط سے آہستہ آہستہ قابو میں آتا ہے۔ جب اسے یوں روکا جائے اور لگاتار سادھنا سے سنبھالا جائے تو وہ اعتماد بھری سکونت میں ٹھہر جاتا ہے۔
