viśuddhāṃ mṛdamādāya barhīṃṣi tila gomayam | śucau deśe paristhāpya tvācamya snānamācaret
پاک مٹی لے کر، کُشا گھاس، تل اور گائے کا گوبر بھی لے۔ انہیں پاک جگہ پر رکھ کر آچمن کرے، پھر غسل ادا کرے۔
Skanda
Tirtha: Kāśī-Gaṅgā snāna (preparatory śauca)
Type: ghat
Listener: Kalaśodbhava (Agastya) as continuing addressee
Scene: On a clean stone platform by the river, ritual items are neatly placed: a small mound of cleansing earth, kuśa grass, sesame, and cow-dung cakes; the devotee performs ācāmana before stepping toward the water.
Purity (śauca) is cultivated through mindful preparation and ritual order, not by the act alone.
Kāśī is the textual setting; the verse focuses on general bath-procedure rather than a named ghāṭa.
Prepare purificatory items, keep them in a clean place, perform ācāmana, and then bathe.
