maṃtrāvetau samuccārya yaḥ kuryāddaṃtadhāvanam | vanaspatigataḥ somastasya nityaṃ prasīdati
Skanda (deduced: Kāśīkhaṇḍa commonly Skanda → Agastya)
Tirtha: Kāśī
Type: kshetra
Scene: A devotee recites two mantras, then performs tooth-cleaning with a sacred twig; Soma is visualized as a cool lunar essence residing in the plant, blessing the practitioner.
Purification becomes a devotional act when joined with mantra, attracting divine grace (prasāda).
The setting is Kāśī in the Kāśīkhaṇḍa, but the verse itself emphasizes household ritual purity rather than a named tīrtha.
Recite the two mantras and then perform dantadhāvana; this is said to please Soma present in vegetation.
