api dūrasthitasyāpi gaṃgāmāhātmyavedinaḥ | ayogyasyāpi goviṃdabhaktyā gaṃgā prasīdati
Skanda (deduced: Kāśīkhaṇḍa often Skanda → Agastya)
Tirtha: Gaṅgā (prasāda through smaraṇa)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A devotee far from the Gaṅgā—perhaps in a village home—listens to Gaṅgā-māhātmya and chants Govinda’s name; a visionary stream of Gaṅgā’s light reaches them, signifying her grace despite distance and personal unfitness.
Gaṅgā’s compassion is accessible even at a distance; knowledge of her māhātmya and devotion to Govinda draw her grace.
Gaṅgā is glorified as a tīrtha whose power reaches devotees even when they cannot physically approach.
Two practices are implied: remembering/knowing Gaṅgā’s māhātmya and cultivating Govinda-bhakti as the means to receive her favor.
