Skanda Purana — Kashi Khanda, Shloka 27

मुने प्रलयकालेपि न तत्क्षेत्रं कदाचन । विमुक्तं हि शिवाभ्यां यदविमुक्तं ततो विदुः

mune pralayakālepi na tatkṣetraṃ kadācana | vimuktaṃ hi śivābhyāṃ yadavimuktaṃ tato viduḥ

اے مُنی! پرَلَے کے وقت بھی وہ مقدّس کْشَیتر کبھی ترک نہیں ہوتا؛ کیونکہ شِو اور شِوا نے جسے کبھی نہیں چھوڑا، اسی لیے دانا لوگ اسے ‘اَوِمُکت’ یعنی ‘کبھی نہ چھوڑا گیا’ جانتے ہیں۔
