brāhmaṇā jaṃgamaṃ tīrthaṃ nirmitaṃ sārvabhaumikam | yeṣāṃ vākyodakenaiva śuddhyaṃti malinā janāḥ
Skanda
Tirtha: Kāśī
Type: kshetra
Scene: A pilgrim approaches a seated brāhmaṇa teacher near a Kāśī ghat; the teacher’s spoken words are visualized as a clear stream washing away dark stains from the pilgrim’s aura—‘vāk-udaka’ as purifying water.
True purification comes through contact with dharma—especially the guidance and blessing of the wise, whose speech is likened to sacred water.
Kāśī’s dharmic ecosystem is praised: alongside rivers and shrines, saintly Brāhmaṇas function as living tīrthas.
Seek instruction, blessings, and right counsel from Brāhmaṇas; their ‘vākya’ is presented as a purifier comparable to tīrtha-water.
