no ceddarśayitā mārgaṃ dhakṣyāmyenamahaṃ tadā | mahāstrairapratihatairatyagnipavanojjvalaiḥ
Rāma
Tirtha: Setu-Samudra threshold
Type: kshetra
Listener: Pilgrimage audience/interlocutor
Scene: Rāma, eyes blazing, declares he will dry/burn the ocean with unstoppable astras—fire and wind imagery swirling above waves; vānaras watch in awe and fear.
Dharma first seeks concord through worship, yet also upholds decisive power against obstruction when the righteous mission is blocked.
The Setu oceanic frontier—its very resistance and subsequent yielding magnify the sanctity of the crossing-site tradition.
No ritual is prescribed; the verse references the potential use of mahāstras if the path is not granted.
