सूत उवाच । एकवर्षं तर्पणीयं धर्मवाप्यां नरोत्तमः । ऋतौ मासे च पक्षे च विपरीतं च जायते

سوت نے کہا: اے بہترین انسان! دھرم واپی میں پورے ایک سال تک ترپن کرنا چاہیے؛ اور اگر رِتو، ماہ یا پکش کے بارے میں کچھ بے قاعدگی بھی ہو جائے تو یہ کرم اُلٹا اثر نہیں دیتا۔
