व्यास उवाच । एकदा शृणु राजेंद्र यज्जातं दैत्यसंगरे । तत्सर्वं कथयाम्याशु यथावृत्तं हि तत्पुरा
vyāsa uvāca | ekadā śṛṇu rājeṃdra yajjātaṃ daityasaṃgare | tatsarvaṃ kathayāmyāśu yathāvṛttaṃ hi tatpurā
ویاس نے کہا: اے راجندر! ایک بار سنو کہ دیووں کے دشمن دانَووں کے سنگرام میں کیا ہوا تھا۔ میں وہ سب جلد بیان کرتا ہوں، بالکل اسی طرح جیسے قدیم زمانے میں واقع ہوا تھا۔
