tatra snātvā naro rājanmucyate brahmahatyayā | kārttikasya tu māsasya kṛṣṇapakṣe caturdaśī

اے راجن! وہاں اشنان کرنے سے آدمی برہمن ہتیا کے پاپ سے بھی چھوٹ جاتا ہے۔ یہ خاص طور پر کارتک کے مہینے میں کرشن پکش کی چودھویں تِتھی کو مقرر ہے۔
