उत्पत्तिहेतुरेते च यस्मिन्सर्वं प्रलीयते । सर्वावासीति देवत्वाद्वासुदेवेत्युदाहृतः
utpattiheturete ca yasminsarvaṃ pralīyate | sarvāvāsīti devatvādvāsudevetyudāhṛtaḥ
وہی ان سب کی پیدائش کا سبب ہے اور اسی میں سب کچھ فنا ہو کر سما جاتا ہے۔ چونکہ بطورِ خدا وہ سب کے اندر بستا ہے، اس لیے اسے ‘واسودیو’ کہا جاتا ہے۔
