मार्कण्डेय उवाच । अदितेर्द्वादशादित्या जाताः शक्रपुरोगमाः । इन्द्रो धाता भगस्त्वष्टा मित्रोऽथ वरुणोऽर्यमा
mārkaṇḍeya uvāca | aditerdvādaśādityā jātāḥ śakrapurogamāḥ | indro dhātā bhagastvaṣṭā mitro'tha varuṇo'ryamā
مارکنڈےیہ نے کہا: ادیتی سے بارہ آدتیہ پیدا ہوئے، جن کی پیشوائی شکر (اندرا) کرتا تھا: اندرا، دھاتا، بھگ، توشٹر، متر، ورُن اور اَریَمَن۔
