jalapraveśaṃ yaḥ kuryāttatra tīrthe narādhipa | dhyāyamāno mahādevaṃ vāruṇaṃ lokamāpnuyāt
اے نرادھِپ! جو کوئی اس تیرتھ میں پانی میں داخل ہو اور مہادیو کا دھیان کرتا رہے، وہ ورُن کے لوک کو پا لیتا ہے۔
Śaṅkara (Śiva)
Tirtha: Revā-tīrtha (unnamed sub-site)
Type: ghat
Listener: narādhipa (king)
Scene: A devotee stands waist-deep in the Revā, eyes closed in Mahādeva-dhyāna; above the waters appears Varuṇa on makara with pāśa, surrounded by aquatic motifs and pearl-like luminescence; a Śiva shrine anchors the bank.
Meditation on Mahādeva combined with tīrtha-contact (water) is presented as a direct cause for higher-loka attainment.
The Revā Khaṇḍa tīrtha under discussion (connected to Daśāśvamedha) where water-rites yield exceptional fruit.
Jala-praveśa (entering the sacred waters) while performing Mahādeva-dhyāna.
