tatra tīrthe tu yo dānaṃ bhaktyā dadyāddvijātaye | tadakṣayaphalaṃ sarvaṃ nātra kāryā vicāraṇā
Sūta (deduced)
Tirtha: Revā-tīrtha (contextual)
Type: kshetra
Scene: At a river ghat, a pilgrim offers cloth/food and dakṣiṇā to a dvija with folded hands; behind them a small Śiva shrine and flowing river signify the tirtha’s sanctity; a radiant ‘akṣaya’ aura surrounds the act.
Charity offered with devotion at a sanctified location becomes akṣaya (imperishable) in spiritual merit.
The Revā tīrtha praised in Adhyāya 179, associated with Gautameśvara.
Give dāna with devotion to a qualified dvijāti while at the tīrtha.
