होता॑ यक्ष॒द्वन॒स्पति॑ᳪ शमि॒तार॑ᳪ श॒तक्र॑तुं धि॒यो जो॒ष्टार॑मिन्द्रि॒यम् । मध्वा॑ सम॒ञ्जन्प॒थिभि॑: सु॒गेभि॒: स्वदा॑ति य॒ज्ञं मधु॑ना घृ॒तेन॒ वेत्वाज्य॑स्य॒ होत॒र्यज॑

Transliteration

hótā yakṣad vanaspátiṃ śamitā́raṃ śatákratuṃ dhiyó jóṣṭāram indriyám | mádhvā samañján pathíbhiḥ sugébhiḥ svádāti yajñáṃ mádhunā ghṛténa vétv ā́jyasya hótar yája

Translation

Let the Hotṛ worship Vanaspati, the appeaser, the hundred-powered, the favourer of our holy thoughts, the Indra-like might. With sweetness, having duly anointed by paths of easy passage, he maketh the sacrifice savoury with honey and with ghee: may it win the Ājya; O Hotṛ, sacrifice!
