आ न॒ इन्द्रो॑ दू॒रादा न॑ आ॒साद॑भिष्टि॒कृदव॑से यासदु॒ग्रः । ओजि॑ष्ठेभिर्नृ॒पति॒र्वज्र॑बाहुः स॒ङ्गे स॒मत्सु॑ तु॒र्वणि॑: पृत॒न्यून्

Transliteration

ā́ na índro dūrā́d ā́ na āsád abhiṣṭi-kṛ́d ávase yāsad ugráḥ | ójiṣṭhebhir nṛpátir vájra-bāhuḥ sáṅge samátsu turváṇiḥ pṛtan yū́n

Translation

May Indra from afar come hither unto us; may the helper, the mighty one, come for our aid and take his seat. With strongest powers, the Lord of men, whose arm is the thunderbolt—impetuous in encounters, in battles—(may he smite) the hostile combatants.
