अक्र॑न्दद॒ग्नि स्त॒नय॑न्निव॒ द्यौः क्षामा॒ रेरि॑हद्वी॒रुध॑ः सम॒ञ्जन् । स॒द्यो ज॑ज्ञा॒नो वि हीमि॒द्धो अख्य॒दा रोद॑सी भा॒नुना॑ भात्य॒न्तः

Transliteration

ákrandad agní stanáyann iva dyáuḥ kṣāmā rérīhad vīrúdḥ samáñjan | sadyó jajñānó ví hí íddho ákhyadā ródasī bhānúnā bhāty antáḥ

Translation

Agni cried aloud, as it were the thunder of the sky; the earth licked up the plants as he spread abroad. Newly born forthwith, when kindled, he looked upon the two worlds; within them he shineth with his beam.
