It teaches that the compassionate, sattvic face of Śiva is the source of peace and happiness, and that divine names (Śiva, Mṛḍa, Viśvapati) point to one Pati who graciously uplifts the bound soul (paśu) toward liberation.
By presenting Śiva through auspicious names and directional placement, it supports Saguna upāsanā—approaching the One Lord through revealed forms, names, and qualities, as commonly done in Liṅga worship with mantra and devotion.
A practical takeaway is nāma-japa and dhyāna: repeat Śiva’s auspicious names (especially “Śiva/Śambhu/Mṛḍa”) with a sattvic mind; this can be paired with pañcākṣarī japa (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and simple Liṅga-archana.
