Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadyojāta
It teaches that outer worship must be done with order and purity—sprinkling, correct materials, and correct measure—so the act becomes a disciplined offering to Pati (Shiva) that refines the pashu (the bound soul) and loosens pāśa (bondage).
The verse supports Saguna Shiva worship through prescribed upacāras: homa and ritual preparation are offered as service to Shiva’s manifest presence (such as the Liṅga), cultivating devotion and steadiness that later matures toward higher realization.
Perform samid-homa using properly measured sacrificial sticks (ideally Palāśa) after ritual sprinkling; it may be paired with Shiva-mantra japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) as the inner intention of the offering.
