Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: liberating
It highlights Śiva as the supreme Pati (Lord) who directly bestows śakti and purity through orderly consecration, indicating that liberation-oriented grace (anugraha) is central to Shaiva Siddhanta.
Abhiṣeka is a key Saguna practice: by ritually bathing/empowering through sanctified vessels, the devotee approaches Śiva in a form-accessible way, while the inner aim remains union with His transcendent reality.
It suggests a disciplined abhiṣeka performed in proper sequence (kramāt), supported by mantra and purity of intention—especially suited to Mahāśivarātri observance and Shaiva dīkṣā-oriented worship.
