Japa of Śiva’s mantra—especially the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya)—supported by Shaiva disciplines such as bhasma (tripuṇḍra), rudrākṣa, and focused meditation on Śiva as the supreme Pati, aiming at inner transformation into śiva-samānatā.
