FAQs

The verse teaches that true liberating knowledge (jñāna) arises by divine grace (prasāda); when the right moment ripens, a worthy revealer appears, and that knowledge becomes the seeker’s highest good (śreyas), ultimately oriented toward moksha.

In Shaiva Siddhanta framing, grace flows from Pati (Shiva) and manifests through a visible means—here, Vāyu as the speaker—showing how Saguna forms and sacred instruction become channels for the soul’s upliftment toward Shiva-realization.

It implies disciplined completion of sacred observances (yajña/vrata) with receptivity to revealed instruction; practically, one should conclude worship with attentive śravaṇa (listening) to Shaiva teachings, supported by mantra-japa (e.g., Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and steady contemplation on Shiva’s grace.
