पाशुपतव्रतविधिः | The Procedure of the Supreme Pāśupata Vow
जपित्वा शक्तितो मूलं ध्यात्वा साम्बं त्रियम्बकम् । अनुज्ञाप्य यथापूर्वं नमस्कृत्य कृताञ्जलिः
japitvā śaktito mūlaṃ dhyātvā sāmbaṃ triyambakam | anujñāpya yathāpūrvaṃ namaskṛtya kṛtāñjaliḥ
جتنا بس ہو مول منتر کا جپ کرکے، اُما سمیت تریَمبک سامب شِو کا دھیان کرے۔ پھر پہلے کی طرح اجازت مانگ کر، ہاتھ جوڑ کر عقیدت سے نمسکار کرے۔

The verse emphasizes Saguna upāsanā by meditating on Triyambaka as Sāmba (Śiva with Umā), a personal form approachable through mantra and contemplation—commonly paired in Purāṇic worship with Linga-pūjā, namaskāra, and prayer for permission to conclude or proceed.
Perform mūla-mantra japa (often understood as the Panchākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) according to capacity, meditate on the Three-eyed Lord with Umā, then conclude/transition by seeking inner permission and offering añjali with respectful namaskāra.
