Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Paśupatinātha
Jyotirlinga: Ghṛṣṇeśvara
Sthala Purana: The text states the phalaśruti: mere darśana and devoted worship of that liṅga yields all worldly happiness and then liberation, framing the kṣetra as a bridge from bhukti to mukti.
Significance: Darśana + bhakti-pūjā at Ghṛṣṇeśvara is proclaimed to grant sarva-sukha in life and mokṣa after death—classic Jyotirliṅga phalaśruti.
Type: stotra
Offering: pushpa
The verse teaches that devotion (bhakti) expressed through Śiva-liṅga darśana and worship purifies the soul and leads from worldly well-being (sukha) to final liberation (mukti), aligning with Shaiva Siddhanta’s path of grace through right worship.
It presents the liṅga as the accessible Saguna focus for worship: by honoring Śiva through the liṅga with devotion, the devotee receives both dharmic prosperity in life and the higher fruit of release from bondage.
Perform Śiva-liṅga darśana and bhakti-yukta pūjā—such as offering water, flowers, and mantra-japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”)—as a steady devotional discipline aimed at both inner purification and moksha.
