शिवदूतेन युद्धनिश्चयः तथा देवदानवयुद्धारम्भः (Śiva’s Envoy and the Commencement of the Deva–Dānava War)
देवदानवयोर्युद्धं स्परमभून्मुने । धर्मतो युयुधे तत्र देवदानवयोर्गणः
devadānavayoryuddhaṃ sparamabhūnmune | dharmato yuyudhe tatra devadānavayorgaṇaḥ
اے مُنی، دیوتاؤں اور دانَووں کے درمیان سخت جنگ چھڑ گئی۔ پھر بھی وہاں دونوں لشکر دھرم کے مطابق، حدودِ انصاف میں رہ کر لڑے۔
