शिवदूतेन युद्धनिश्चयः तथा देवदानवयुद्धारम्भः (Śiva’s Envoy and the Commencement of the Deva–Dānava War)
शिरांसि चिच्छिदुश्चैभिर्वीरास्तत्र महो त्सवाः । वीराणामुभयोश्चैव सैन्ययोर्गर्जतो रणे

اس رَن میں بہادر سورما گویا عظیم جشن کی طرح سرشار ہو کر اپنے ہتھیاروں سے سروں کو کاٹتے رہے۔ دونوں طرف کے دلیر لشکر جنگ کے بیچ زور سے گرجتے رہے۔
